Baird House Clan Music 2011

The annual and hotly contested Clan Music competition took place on Friday 14 October.

It turned out to be a dramatic finale to the half term with all three clans tie-ing at the end of the individual pieces and ensembles. It was therefore down to the final performances – the 60s-themed Clan Songs - to decide the winner. After great performances from all three Clans, Cameron came out top with their rendition of “Help” by the Beatles.

Adjudicator Mrs Angela Corless, Deputy Head Teacher at Ursuline Convent Girls' School in Brentwood said: “I was very impressed with the standard of the individual performances and the stunning teamwork, singing and choreography of the final Clan Song.”

The Clan Song involves every girl in Baird House. Mr Harrison, Director of Music said: “This is a real credit to all the Clan Music captains and prefects who have tirelessly rehearsed and coached the girls - often in their own time - since the beginning of September!

“Well done to all the girls in Baird House for taking part and making Clan Music such a successful and enjoyable afternoon. A great end to this half term!”
