A service of Remembrance was held at the school today. Mrs Lewis lead the service of thoughts and prayers for all those killed in the service of the country from the First World War to the present day. Two minutes silence was observed at 11am followed by the Last Post, played by Kate James, Year 11. Mrs Lewis spoke about the origins of the Poppy as a symbol of remembrance and Year 2 presented the hand-made poppies made in class this week. |
