On Tuesday 29 November three Year 11 girls participated in the Hemel Hempstead ‘Youth Speaks' Competition. Hannah Foxton, Imogen Shaw and Charlotte Phillipson decided to talk about women's representation and coverage in Sport to fit in with the theme ‘Olympic Spirit'. The girls worked tirelessly to create a fantastic speech that was delivered by Imogen Shaw. Hannah chaired the meeting with great confidence and Charlotte gave the Vote of thanks with real enthusiasm and reflection. The girls were competing in the senior age group against some Sixth Form teams. The standard was extremely high. Nevertheless the speech and delivery of the whole meeting went down incredibly well with the judges. The girls came second in the competition and are through to the regional semi finals. Congratulations!
